St. Lawrence Catholic Students United (CSU) plans and provides a rich variety of campus ministry activities for college students. Whether students are searching for a deeper faith, or just a community to find a home away from home in, CSU has it all. One of the many ways that students can get more involved is through the 5 different Outreach committees; those committees are Service, Spiritual, Social, Sports, Mission Corps, Music, and Retreat. While each committee has its own purpose and events, they all share the same goals of creating one spiritual family and sharing the abundant love of Christ.
The staff at St. Lawrence Newman believe in the importance student leadership, especially in shaping the next generation of solid Catholic leaders. Newman Student Leadership serves as an opportunity for both student leadership and formation. We hope to form our student leaders to be confident bearers of the Catholic faith so they can live it out in their lives beyond graduation, no matter where they land.
Newman Student Leadership is a two-tiered leadership structure consisting of an Executive Board and an Outreach Board. The Executive Board leads Gopher Catholic Nights and consists of the typical officer positions. The Outreach Board is comprised of Chair and Co-Chair representatives from each of the aforementioned committees, who are the student leaders of each of the committees. As our student involvement grows, we will continue to add committees to serve the needs of the student body.
